The birth of Voices Of The City.

Between 2000 and 2001 the 2nd law of thermodynamics kicked in and sent my flourishing professional life free-falling back to square one.  Sifting through the rubble with a handful of questions – “what was all that?”, “what now?”, and “what next?” – I discovered a vein of gold that had been running just below the surface forever - Storytelling.

The gold rush that followed continues to this day as a series of distinct and interconnected projects focussed on inspiring and facilitating creativity, inquiry, expression and self-realization. Celebrating individuals and building bridges bringing people together through Storytelling is the mission statement of the Voices Of The City Foundation.

Since 2003, The Storytelling Body, Voices Of The City, CIRC/US, the Storytelling Circle, and the Storytelling Social Club have unfolded as workshops, performances, food & story and big circus-theatre-music productions in which people, stories and transformation are central.

The stories we tell ourselves and others shape our identities and realities. They reflect and reveal who we are, what drives us, what makes us unique, as well as, our common ground. By listening deeply and reflecting on the stories we tell, we free ourselves and our creativity to create the lives we long for.

CIRC/US - our circle – is my principal project.
